Job Description Title: Base Manager Based at: Fort Nelson, British Columbia Bailey Helicopters Ltd. (“Bailey”) is a private Company that was established in March 1989 with one Bell 47 and has since grown its fleet to 27 helicopters (Robinson R44’s, Bell 206’s and Astar 350’s) operating out of three bases – Fort St. John, Fort Nelson and Dawson Creek British Columbia. Bailey has a long standing reputation for safety, a diverse range of specialized services and an outstanding reputation for job completion. JOB PURPOSE/ FORT NELSON BASE Bailey is looking to add a key member to its team – a Base Manager in Fort Nelson, British Columbia. Our Fort Nelson base operates out of a new constructed hangar that was built in 2009. Depending upon the time of year, we operate 4 to 8 helicopters out of Fort Nelson with room for expansion. The base has pilots and engineers on site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  This career opportunity consists of a mix of management, business development and day to day operations of the base including: - crew scheduling - aircraft booking - communication with head office  Identify and resolve client concerns  Work closely with the Company’s Manager of Sales and Business Development by communicating new business opportunities, special developments or feedback gathered through field activities  Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships  Participant in local marketing events and associations  Mentor and train junior pilots  Actively supports the Company’s Safety Management System by actively participating in the program  All other duties as assigned EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED  Canadian commercial helicopter license  minimum of 2,000 flight hours  AStar helicopter experience  Organization and communication skills (both written and oral)  Excellent customer service skills  Good business acumen and with an ability to identify business opportunities  Ability to work independently and within a team environment  Previous Base Manager experience is an asset We offer competitive wages and an excellent benefits package.
