Tallahassee Helicopters is looking for a full-time CFI/II who enjoys the challenge to further grow our establishment by providing the best possible helicopter pilot training and commercial flight services in the capital city of Florida. Tallahassee Helicopters is part of Eagle Aircraft Corporation, a successful fixed-wing flight training facility since 1992, operating about 10 aircrafts. Eagle's helicopter division, Tallahassee Helicopters, currently operates one 2008 R44 Raven I IFR Trainer with GNS430W and HSI and intends to expand its helicopter fleet with an R22 later this year.
The successful candidate will be an energetic, enthusiastic, and mature individual who works well with others and on their own. He/she will focus on safety, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent people skills, is self-sufficient, organized, holds a first or second class medical, and meets the following minimum pilot qualifications:
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Instrument Helicopter Ratings
- FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Instrument Helicopter Ratings
- SFAR 73 Endorsement to instruct on the R44
- At least 500 hours in helicopters including at least 50 PIC hours in R44s and 100 hours dual given
- RHC Safety Course completed within the past 5 years
Duties/Responsibilities:
- provide basic and advanced (including instrument) helicopter flight and ground instruction
- evaluate, communicate, and document training progress of students, objectively and subjectively, within the established curriculum
- assist in the upkeep of current publications and training material
- assist with the recruitment of new students
- conduct commercial flights including sightseeing tours, aerial photography, and pipeline patrol
- serve as a safety pilot
- assist in becoming a Part 141 flight school and in obtaining a Part 135 certificate
- assist with light office and administrative responsibilities including the preparation of documents and reports, as required
Beeing a licensed A&P mechanic with Robinson experience and/or being a dual rated flight instructor is a big plus and may result in additional opportunities within the company if so desired.
