LifeTeam is an independent EMS company utilizing fixed wing Beechcraft C-90 and Bell 206 helicopters and also ground ambulance units.  We are headquartered in Newton, Ks.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION The chief pilot ensures all company fixed wing and rotary wing pilots operate in a standardized manner and in accordance with applicable federal aviation regulations and the Air MD operations manual. The chief pilot is the liaison between the director of operations and the line pilots for federal regulation compliance and all aviation technical matters. The chief pilot is responsible for the overall aircrew training and functions as the training manager/trainer and is responsible for the evaluation of al pilots. The chief pilot may act as a company check airman when authorized by the FAA. The chief pilot will function as a line captain on an as needed basis. The chief pilot will maintain pilot records to include training and qualifications.

 

This position will also be a trainer position for initial new hires for both our C90 and Bell 206 aircraft.  It is our intent that the trainer position will eventually be held by a full time training captain with the expansion of our company.  However, initially this role will be filled by the Chief Pilot.

 

Experience required:

Min 3000 hours

Bell 206 qualified

C90 qualified

3 of the last 6 years as FAR part 135 pilot of fixed wing and/or rotary wing aircraft

License / Certifications:

FAA Commercial Multi-engine airplane

FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Rating

Instrument- Airplane and Helicopter

Current FAA Class 1 or 2 Medical Certificate
