CHIEF PILOT
North Memorial Air Care operates 5 Emergency Medical Services (EMS) bases throughout Minnesota. We’re anchored by a well-known Level 1 trauma center. Our service flies Agusta 109 helicopters with 2-A109AIIs, 3-A109Cs, and 2 A109Es. We currently have a full-time opening for a Chief Helicopter Pilot in the Twin Cities area.
The Chief Pilot is responsible for the functioning of the flight crew department and that all flight crew will meet the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements. The Chief Pilot will also insure that Air Care training and evaluations are vigorously applied and will maintain and update the training program as required to meet or exceed FAA requirements.
Qualifications include:
Commercial Pilot Certificate-Rotorcraft-Helicopter (ATP preferred)
Instrument Rating-Rotorcraft-Helicopter
Flight Instructor-Rotorcraft-Helicopter
Flight Instructor Instrument-Rotorcraft-Helicopter
Bachelor’s degree (in Business preferred).
Flight training leading to Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Commercial Pilot certificate.
Flight training leading to Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII).
Meet the requirements of FAR Part 135 to act as Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Part 135 operation.
Meet the requirements of FAR Part 119 to act as Chief Pilot for a Part 135 operation.
5000 hours helicopter total time (inc. 1000 hours multiengine preferred)
Chief Pilot / Director of Operations experience
Check Airman authority
Helicopter Instructor experience
