Job Desc: Mercy St. Vincent Center Life Flight is an established HEMS operator based in Northwest Ohio. Life Flight operates under its own 135 Certificate that offers a very competitive salary and benefits package. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pilot to join our team. Life Flight operates a large fleet that includes the SA365N2’s and A109E’s.

The Pilot in Command is at all times directly responsible for and is the final authority as to the operation of the aircraft. The Pilot in Command must be highly knowledgeable of the:

  • Operations Manual
  • FARs
  • Operation Specifications
  • Aircraft Flight Manuals
  • Training Manuals and other publications pertinent to his or her duties.

Prior to each flight, the Pilot in Command is familiar with all available information concerning the flight.

Requirements: • Must possess a commercial pilot’s license with instrument rating.
• Current FAA Commercial rotorcraft Certificate with instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Minimum of 3,000 total flight hours.

• 2,000 total helicopter hours.
• 1,500 PIC in helicopters
• Must possess analytical abilities, sound aviation judgment, problem solving skills and the ability to provide guidance for those under his/her supervision.

• Must possess above average interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with FAA, staff and hospital personnel.
• Must demonstrate leadership skills to participate in professional and community education program and to effectively maintain good public relations, for the institution.
• ATP preferred or obtained within two years of date of hire.
