Position – Chief Pilot Helicopter Operations
Company - Our client is a very well established, mid-sized Part 135 IFR EMS Rotor & Fixed Wing Operator in the Western USA. Our client places great value on employees that are efficient, hard working, knowledgeable, professional, and desire to be a part of a dynamic team.
Summary - Under the general guidance and direction of the Director of Operations the Chief Pilot is accountable for the comprehensive delivery of helicopter services across the organization. This includes design, development, and implementation of short, intermediate and long-range operational and strategic plans in the context of our vision and mission.
The successful candidate will be an experienced aviator with proven leadership and team management skills, a forward thinker with demonstrated ability to manage change, influence and empower others, as well as possess exceptional communication skills.
Position Requirements - To be considered, applicants must have the following Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred.
3000 hours PIC helicopter time; 500 hours of night experience; 200 hours of IFR experience.
Commercial rated multi-engine airplane or helicopter license with preference given to applicants who have an ATP rating.
Preference is given to applicants who have previous EC135, A109, B222 or B407 experience and/or single pilot IFR experience in a complex helicopter.
Proven and relevant experience in management which includes supervision, budgetary and safety.
Highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FAR’s, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, etc., and other instructions pertinent to flight operations.
Ability to think strategically, while attending to details.
Skills in observations, assessment and creative problems solving.
Ability to communicate professionally, effectively and persuasively both orally and in writing at all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure, work effectively and accurately with frequent interruptions, and set and reset multiple priorities.
Team building skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
Strong work ethic and high level of initiative.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
