JOB SUMMARY

Manager, Life Flight Eagle Contract

*Reports to Regional Director for Traditional Programs, does not have operational control

*High profile job which provides the interface between PHI and LFE with support from Regional Maintenance Manager, Area Operations Manager, and other PHI support staff

*Manager is expected to fully understand and support Destination Zero and PHI's SMS Policy, and tocommunicate the standards to the group, and is accountable for the group's performance *When flying aircraft as relief, maintenance, or relocation pilot, has Line Pilot operational control authority through the Area Operations Manager

*Responsible for planning and monitoring of daily PHI contract activities of assigned flight program (five bases), manager is expected to lead the LFE group to meet both PHI and LFE expectations in the areas of safety, contract management, fiscal responsibility, efficiency, regulatory/policy compliance, and the other duties described in the job description

*Demonstrated behavioral competencies in areas such as: drive and energy, functional/technical expertise, high ethical standards, initiative, integrity, conflict management, mission focus, problem solving and decision making, team player, customer oriented, organizational and planning skills, and results oriented

*Essential member of the customer leadership team serving as the aviation team leader and on-site aviation resource, and is involved in goal setting, planning, problem solving, organizing, leading and communicating PHI and program expectations to pilot and mechanic staff

*Requires a 2 year commitment // Relocation package available // Housing not provided // Successfulapplicant is required to live within 1 hour drive of LFE office

*Some lifting will be required to assist in the loading and unloading of patients and equipment

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 3 years of EMS aviation flight operations experience, preferably in a progressive management position // Demonstrated customer service, leadership and management skills // Excellent written and verbal communication skills // Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite // Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings // BH-407 current and qualified preferred // 200 Hrs. in Type Preferred // 3000 Hrs. Total (1500 Hrs. Helicopter) preferred // 1000 Hrs. PIC Helicopters // 500 Hrs. TurbineHelicopters // 300 Hrs. in Unaided Night Operations preferred // Night Vision Goggles Experience Preferred

Ensure aircraft and pilot availability per contract // Relocate aircraft for maintenance andother purposes as approved by Area Operations Manager // Fly as relief line pilot // Conductthe flight orientation for new pilots and medical crew members // Serve as a single point ofcontact for all flight and maintenance activities for customer // Provide leadership in bridging program and PHI SMS programs // Ensure pilot and mechanic compliance of established PHI, FAA, OSHA, and customer practices, regulation and procedures // Ensure program specific requirements for safety training is being complied with, i.e., medical crew member safety training (initial & recurrent) landing zone set-up training for first responders // Effectively support and communicate customer specific program initiatives, relevant policies and procedures, etc. to assigned PHI staff // Coordinate and bring to resolution customer and PHI issues // Monitor performance of pilot and mechanic personnel assigned to area // Assist in the development of goals and objectives for assigned PHI Air Medical flight personnel consistent with mission and goals of the customer program // Lead and facilitate effective changes for improvement in quality and/or efficiency of contract service // Coordinate efforts between bases to achieve consistent process and cohesive flow of information internally and externally // Collect data, complete analysis, and oversee special projects and key management reports // Collaborate with customer program leadership to development and monitor a continuous quality improvement process for all PHI contract activities // Maximize human, equipment, and supply resource utilization // Maintain quality and efficiency standards as set by immediate supervisor // Participates in activities that promote self professional growth and development // Identify areas for professional development of base lead pilots, lead mechanic, and PHI assigned Safety Officer // Hold monthly meetings with PHI staff and includes program leadership quarterly// Travel to bases
