Job Desc:

Contract Helicopter pilot(s) for US Government Fire contracts throughout the Western United States.

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 500 hours PIC in Bell Medium helicopters of which 200 hours must be in the Bell 204, 205A-1, or UH-1 with a total of 3000 hours PIC helicopters, 2000 PIC in turbine helicopters, 750 hours PIC mountain time (or an approved mountain course with 400 hours PIC) above 5000 feet msl with numerous landings per day, 700 hours as PIC during vertical reference long-line operations (may be waived by demonstrated proficiency with company check airman), 100 hours PIC at night in helicopters. Qualified candidates must have been or be cardable by the US Forest Service/Dept. of the Interior for mountain flying, for external loads (sling), long-line (vertical reference), aerial ignition (PSD/torch), fire suppression (helitack), retardant/water dropping. Additional consideration will be given candidates that have also been carded for rappel, cargo-let-down, short-haul in Bell medium helicopters. Per diem paid by the company, schedule is 12 days on 12 days off, minimum hours per day is 9, maximum hours per day is 14, maximum flight hours per day is 8. Seasonal pilots get a 3 hour daily minimum accumulated weekly,work week is Sunday through Saturday pay is by direct deposit. Seasonal pilots may contribute to the company 401K without company matching. Health and welfare is paid at specified contract rate.
