Chief Helicopter Pilot
As a senior member of the management team, this position is responsible for the hiring, managing and training of both Command and Co-Pilots. Ensures flights are conducted safely and according to all FAA regulations. Ensures adequate staffing. Determines scheduling and maintains flight records.
Recommends starting salaries and salary increases to the General Manager. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Will lead and direct work of others. Reports to the General Manager of Siller Helicopters.

Role Qualifications:
- Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
- Determines pilot staffing needs, scheduling and ensures compliance with company’s policies.
- Monitors all pilots for compliance with FAA regulations
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 10,000 hours; 7,500 hours PIC . Ratings S-64; S-61; Hughes 500
- Knowledge of construction and firefighting
- Proven and relevant experience in management which includes supervision, budgetary and safety
- Highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FAR’s,
- Operations Specifications, Flight manuals, etc.
- Ability to think strategically, while attending to details
- Skills in observations, assessment and creative problem solving
- Ability to communicate professionally, effectively and persuasively both orally and in writing at all levels of the organization
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure, work effectively and accurately with frequent interruptions, and set and reset multiple priorities
- Team building skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
- Strong work ethic and high level of initiative
