Objective:

To assist the JAA CFI in the day-to-day management and development of JAA flight operations at the Bristow Academy Titusville, FL campus in the safest, most cost-effective and customer-oriented manner adhering to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and Bristow Academy Operations Manual.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure the highest quality of flight and ground training in accordance with Bristow Academy’s philosophy and regulatory approvals.
• Ensure standardization of maneuvers being flown in accordance with the JAA training manual and JAA Student Study Guide.
• Comply with all FAA and JAA requirements and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to guidelines of the Letter of Agreement between ATC and Bristow Academy Inc.
• Maintain close liaison with JAA Chief Flying Instructor to ensure JAA flying program runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
• Act on behalf of the JAA CFI in his absence.
• Conduct FIC training if appropriately qualified.
• Conduct course Stage Checks and Progress Tests.
• Act as Line Manager to Course Supervisors.
• Ensure accurate compilation of Authorization Files and Student Training Files.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of training and customer service in the industry
• Work with JAA Chief Flying Instructor to provide assistance with planning for future JAA Flight Training.
• Monitor JAA flying operations to ensure best use of assets.
• In consultation with JAA Chief Flying Instructor, maintain adequate employee training and evaluation.
• Assist to ensure timely and accurate customer payment.
• Implement Target Zero in all areas of safety.  Promote a safety conscious environment in the workplace and home environment.  Promote Target Zero to all staff and students.

 Required Certificates and Ratings:Required Flight Experience

• JAA qualifications: CPL(H). FI(H). FIC approval and additional type ratings are desirable.
• JAA Class 1 Medical  
• FAA qualifications:  FAA Commercial, IR, CFI, CFII.
• FAA Class 2 Medical

• At least 500 Hours TT helicopter and 200 hours instruction helicopter
