- Part 135 VFR PIC in Robinson R44 & R66 helicopters
- 91.147 Commercial Air Tours
- 141 Flight, Ground & FTD Instructor
- Perform operational control duties for Part 135 certificate

Overview
This job is located in Fort Worth, TX, the 16th largest city in the United States and home of a large aerospace industry. Epic Helicopters is the largest tour operator in D/FW metroplex, a Part 135 helicopter Air Carrier (pax and cargo), Part 141 pilot school and a leader in compliance and safety excellence. The company maintains an accident and incident free record.
Required Flight Experience
- 700 hours total flight time in helicopters
- 500 hours PIC helicopter
- 100 hours cross-country flight (point-to-point, no minimum distance)
- 25 hours of night cross-country flight time (point-to-point, no minimum distance)
- 50 hours flight time in the last 12 months
- 200 hours of flight instruction given
- 50 hours R44 series helicopters
- 50 hours in R22 series helicopters
- Proficient in R22/R44 helicopters, including full-down autorotations
Required Certificates & Ratings
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
- Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Instrument-Helicopter ratings
- 24+ months since obtaining initial flight instructor certificate
- Robinson Helicopter Safety Course completed in previous 6 years
- FAA 2nd class medical certificate
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- ATP Certificate
- Previous Part 135 experience
- PIC turbine helicopter flight time/R66 flight experience
- Comfortable flying in congested airspace & strong instrument flying skills
- College degree
- Meet 141 Asst. Chief Instructor requirements for Private, Instrument, Commercial, & ATP courses
- Gold-seal flight instructor certificate
- Self-motivated; capable and willing to contribute to special projects
- Active participant in the FAA WINGS program and other industry initiatives/organizations
- Airborne Law Enforcement experience
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and/or Powerplant rating
- Experience with high DA, long-line, utility, NVG, or actual IFR
