Era Seeks Director Of Operations

Era Helicopters LLC, one of the world's leading helicopter operators, is now hiring a Director of Operations for our Headquarters in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Era is one of the oldest and largest helicopter owners and operators in the U.S. and Internationally with over 175 helicopters operated or leased to other operators. Era's market focus is on oil and gas, helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS), search-and-rescue (SAR), tourism and firefighting.  Era was the first in the industry to utilize the FAA-approved RW Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA) Program in the U.S. Era also adheres to an advanced Aviation Safety Management System along with other major advancements in aircraft safety upgrades; including modern, advanced aircraft, flight data monitoring and training simulators.

The ideal applicant must:

.  Have 3 years supervisory or managerial experience within the last 6 years in a position that exercises Operational Control over any 121 or 135

helicopter operation or have 3 years experience as a helicopter pilot under 121 or 135 operations;

.  Hold an unrestricted ATP (helicopter) license;

.  Maintain excellent customer service by communicating with the customers in a positive and pleasant manner;

.  Must be able to communicate effectively with the FAA in regards to all applicable regulations;

.  Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook required;

.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required;

.  Must be well organized and be able to work effectively, independently and as a team with a large and varied workload;

.  Business Management or Aviation Management degree preferred.

A successful candidate will have a full understanding of:

.  Aviation Safety Standards and Safe Operating Practices;

.  14 CFR Chapter 1 (FAR's);

.  Operations Specifications;

.  General Operations Manual (GOM) requirements.
