Adventure Helicopter Tours is currently seeking a Director of Operations/Chief Pilot.  This position will be based in our private heliport in North Las Vegas.  Some of the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Scheduling pilots and establishing duty hours.
• Provides leadership, mentoring and communication with staff.
• Conducts interviews, hires, reviews, disciplinary action and discharges of pilot staff.
• Maintains all checklists for the aircraft.   Coordinates with the Director of Maintenance and assumes operational control of the aircraft.
• Maintains and develops, when necessary, the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) program.
• Is active in the ongoing development, evaluation and execution of Quality, Risk and Safety SOPs designed to ensure that Adventure Helicopter Tours is meeting customer needs in an appropriate, safe and effective manner.
• Assist in the development of organizational strategy, controls policy and goals that cover operations personnel.
• Reviews aircraft status on a daily basis to ensure availability. 
• Review pilot duty time records on a daily basis to ensure compliance with FARs.
• Maintaining pilot records in accordance to FARs and maintenance of all load manifests. 
• Forwards information to crew members for routes, facilities and Company policies.
• May serve as a Line Pilot as required.
• Instruct both on the ground and in flight.

In order to be considered, the following requirements must be met:

• Meets the requirements of FAR 119.71 (c). Minimum 3 years experience as PIC under Part 135 or Part 121.
• Must have a wealth of knowledge with respect to the FAA Part 135 Regulations pertinent to Flight Operations.
• Preference given to those with MD 600 experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in aviation operations management.
• Ability to communicate professionally at all times, both orally and written.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Ability to think strategically, maintain attention to detail and observe.

Adventure Helicopter Tours is a Las Vegas tour company that services tours to the Strip, Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon.  We are currently working on a 135 recertification to do Grand Canyon Tours.  Our current fleet consists of MD 600 helicopters.
