Job Description

 

We are looking to recruit some Synthetic Flight Instructors (Rotary Wing) at our Aberdeen Training Centre to provide ground and flight training for the aircraft types on which the instructor is qualified.

The positions are permanent (full time) and contractor (ad hoc).

 The job responsibilities include:

  • Providing client training in accordance with Global Training Policy Manual (GTPM) guidelines, the training syllabus and the authorizing regulatory authority.
  • Ensuring all training is completed using either CAE or the client company's procedures.
  • Complete all required paperwork and client training records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Training clients to the standard required and following procedures defined in the TRTO/TCOM when a trainee is unable to meet the standard.
  • Completing the Journey Log after use of a training device.
  • Ensuring all defects are recorded in the Defects Log.
  • Providing assistance to the Head of Training in the development of new programmes or courseware.
  • Any other duties as may be required.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications/ Experience Required:

 

  • Hold or have held JAA ATPL H and IRH ME.
  • Meet experience requirements to qualify as a Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) under JAR-FCL 2.
  • Excellent classroom presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills & knowledge of Internet applications.
  • Above average communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Must be able and willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must live or be willing to relocate to the Aberdeen, UK area.
  • Applicants must be able to live and work in EU/EEC/UK.

 

Qualifications/ Experience Preferred:

  • Operational experience in AS332L2/EC225 or S-92A aircraft.
  • TRI qualification.
  • Simulator, aircraft and/or ground school aviation and evaluating experience.
