Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, installation, flight-testing and certification, with all of its 190 employees being committed to delivering first-class customer service. The Company develops advanced mission systems which have contributed to a market share of over 70% in the Police law enforcement segment and EMS market, 50% in the commercial/private segment. The Company is also able to offer a completion service to further adapt or modify helicopters to meet the most demanding specific mission requirements along with providing VVIP completions for corporate and private customers. Eurocopter, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EADS, is the largest manufacturer of helicopters in the world with more than 10,000 helicopters currently in service with over 2,800 customers in 140 countries and offers the largest civil and military helicopter range in the world. The expansion plan envisaged for Eurocopter UK Limited will aim at increasing the UK and Irish content of services, both in the civil and military markets.
A vacancy has arisen with Eurocopter for a Training Operation Instructor to be based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The overall purpose of this role is to:-
- - Provide EC225 pilot instruction
- - Manage the training operation (simulator assessments, pilots relationship, simulator planning, etc.)
- - Develop new training business
In order to:-
- - Create and maintain Customer Satisfaction
- - Increase wet training services
- - Tune Simulators in accordance with the real helicopter
As the successful candidate your principle activities will include:-
=> instructor/pilot tasks:
- - Prepare/implement initial and recurrent courses syllabus
- - Provide wet training services as instructor
- - Provide IOS courses instruction
- - Perform Customer demonstrations
- - Perform the quarterly sim evaluations and subjective tests
- - Support the tests of the regular simulator corrections
=> Operational training tasks:
- - Prepare yearly scheduling
- - Manage daily scheduling updates
- - Manage associated resources (material and human)
- - Show flexibility in planning organisation
- - Manage different customer moods linked to their different priorities and planning obligations
- - Be reactive to any request of extra slots or modification of planning, taking into account training constraints
- - Manage the extension of the EC UK TRTO
- - Develop new training businesses
- - Act as training and contract manager as necessary
=> Other administrative tasks:
- - Prepare documents for monthly invoicing
- - Insure the interface Oxford/customers with regard to payments
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:-
- - EC225 helicopter knowledge
- - EC225 instructor
- - EC225 Pilot experience in Offshore
- - SFI instructor
- - Several years instructor experience
- - 2000 flight hours experience
- - Knowledge of Aberdeen specificities and local customers
- - Have a local network to be able to continue performing half-year flights
- - Customer minded
- - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- - Usage of Microsoft packages
- - Ability to work as part of a team or independently
- - Sales & Marketing skills and/or background most welcome
- - Portuguese language would be desirable
- - Flexible in terms of working hours and flexi time
