Overview:

Operating 2 Schweizer 300 aircraft Wings Air LLC. has been in the flight school, charter and tour businesses for more than 10 years. We are rapidly expanding and are looking for very professional people to join our team.

Located at the prestigious Westchester County Airport in White Plains NY (KHPN) Wings Air LLC is a very busy Part 61 helicopter flight training school operated from within a full FBO.

We are seeking to fill 2 positions, a full time Flight School Manager and a part to full time Flight Instructor (CFI):

Position 1:

Flight School Manager:

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Manage day to day operations of flight school
• New student enrollment
• Management of online scheduling and flight tracking application
• Check airman for pre-solo and pre-check ride students
• Check airman for flight school CFIs
• Scheduling in coordination with flight instructors
• Curriculum management
• Ensuring student and employee records are kept up to date
• Ensuring student and employee recency of experience
• Maintenance coordination and integrity of log books
• Manage relationship with DPEs and FBO
• Ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Management experience managing small to medium sized business
• Experience with managing people in small to medium sized business
• Microsoft Office and Apple software knowledge

Required Flight Experience

• 500 Hrs. + Rotorcraft Helicopter - should be predominantly in the Schweizer 300
• 200 Hrs. + Dual instruction given

Preferred Qualifications, Skills

• 24+ months since obtaining initial flight instructor certificate
• Comfortable flying in congested airspace
• College degree
• Self-motivated; capable and willing to contribute to special projects
• Active participant in the FAA WINGS program and other industry initiatives/organizations

Required Certificates & Ratings

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
• Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter
• FAA 2nd class medical certificate

Position 2:

Part to Full Time CFI:

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Instruct initial and add-on students to Private and Commercial PTS
• Scheduling in coordination with flight school manager
• Curriculum adherence
• Maintaining student records
• Ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Professional experience in fast paced environment
• Microsoft Office and Apple software knowledge
• Experience flying in high density complex airspace

Required Flight Experience

• 300 Hrs. + Rotorcraft Helicopter - should be predominantly in the Schweizer 300
• 50 Hrs. + Dual instruction given

Preferred Qualifications, Skills

• Microsoft Office and Apple experience / knowledge
• Self motivated; capable of and willing to contribute to special projects
• Active participant in the FAA WINGS program and other industry initiatives / organizations

Required Certificates & Ratings
