Company - Our client is a very well established Part 135 EMS Rotor & Fixed Wing Operator in the Western USA. Our client places great value on employees that are efficient, hard working, knowledgeable, professional, and desire to be a part of a dynamic team.
Summary – The Director of Operations reports to the President and CEO and is responsible for the comprehensive delivery of Part 135 helicopter and fixed wing EMS Services for the company.
The successful candidate will be an experienced aviator with proven leadership and team management skills, a forward thinker with demonstrated ability to manage change, influence and empower others, as well as possess exceptional communication skills.

Requirements:

Qualifications, Experience, Skills - The most competitive candidates who are interested in this leadership opportunity would have the following Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Meet the requirements per FAR Part 119.71 for the position of Director of Operations for Part 135 ops
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred.
Proven and relevant experience in management which includes supervision, budgetary and safety.
Highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FAR’s, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, etc., and other instructions pertinent to flight operations.
Ability to think strategically, while attending to details.
Skills in observations, assessment and creative problems solving.
Ability to communicate professionally, effectively and persuasively both orally and in writing at all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure, work effectively and accurately with frequent interruptions, and set and reset multiple priorities.
Team building skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
Strong work ethic and high level of initiative.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
Commitment to excellence and high standards.
3000 hours PIC helicopter time; 250 hours of night experience.
Commercial, multi-engine airplane or helicopter certificates with Instrument Rating. Preference given to applicants who hold an ATP and/or CFI.
Preference is given to applicants who have previous experience in Agusta or Eurocopter aircraft
Preference given to applicants who have previous experience in Helicopter EMS, Mountain, and NVG operations.
Preference given to current Part 135 experience.
