Job Description :
Era Helicopters LLC, one of the world‘s leading helicopter operators, is now hiring A119 Pilot Instructors for their Era Training Center in Lake Charles, LA.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and update the A119 courseware and training materials as necessary;
  • Conduct A119 pilot training classes both to internal Era Pilots and external training customers;
  • Conduct flight training in the A119 Aircraft;
  • Conduct other mission specific courses as assigned; IIMC, IFR refresher ect;
  • Conduct Initial and recurrent pilot classes as assigned;
  • Conduct Pilot initial and recurrent evaluations as assigned;
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the ERA VFR Chief of Flight Standards.
 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous Platform Instructor/ Flight Instructor/ Evaluator experience;
  • CFI / CFII Helicoper Instrument rating preferred or military equivalent;
  • 2000 Total Rotocraft Hours;
  • 500 hrs Turbine;
  • 500 hrs Instructor given;
  • 100 hrs flown in last 12 months;
  • A 135.293, 135.299 are prerequisites to becoming an Instructor;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required;
  • Must be organized and be able to work effectively independently and as a team with a large and varied workload;
  • Must be able to handle a variety of assignments and handle multiple tasks.
