VERTEX Helicopters is the fastest growing helicopter flight school in our region of Texas (currently undergoing Part 141 certification). We are located at Hobby Airport in the middle of Houston, Texas. We are also one of the leading companies in the US who specialize in Aerial Hog Depredation (Helicopter Hog Hunting), performed under permit from the State of Texas.
We train and fly with three Robinson R22s, one R44, and two incoming Schweizer 300C's. Both part- and full-time flight instructor applicants must hold BOTH CFI and CFII ratings with a minimum of 50 PIC or more in an R22, plus 25 in an R44 and SFAR 73 Instructor sign-offs in both Robinson models.
Minimum 300 Hours REQUIRED.
Schweizer experience a huge plus.
Required Experience:
- Helicopter Commercial, Instrument, CFI & CFII
- Minimum 1-2 Years Instructing Experience
- Prefer 500 Hours TT Helicopter, 300 Instructing
- SFAR 73 endorsed for PIC & Flight Instructor for both R22 & R44 Helicopters
- Attended RHC Safety Course within the last 6 years
Duties:
- Flight & Ground Instruction,
- Photo Flights, Utility Patrol Flights.
- Commercial Flight Operations
Must be willing to assist in other areas of company including student recruitment, maintenance, marketing, public relations, common area and hangar cleaning, training hunters in aerial hog control safety, assisting in helicopter hunting and any other commercial operations.
Pay: Industry Standard Hourly Flight and Ground Instruction Rates. (Commensurate with experience)
