Description of position

In anticipation of future training staff requirements, we are accepting applications for the position of Instructor at the Penticton BC School..., The duties include, but are not limited to, ground and flight instruction as well as seasonal duties as a pool pilot. This is an entry-level position for those who are/have considered becoming an Instructor with Canadian Helicopters. Initial emphasis will be focused on developing the successful candidate into a line instructor so that they may assist in providing recurrent, endorsement and mountain training. The goal of this introductory program will be to develop the successful candidate into a Transport Canada certified instructor able to teach all courses offered at the school. Responsibilities: • Teaching ground school and associated flight instructor duties; • Conducting ab initio, mountain, recurrent, and endorsement training; • During periods of inactivity at the school the successful candidate will be assigned to line flying duties as required outside of Penticton Base.
Qualifications

• Bell 206, Bell 407, AS 350, EC 120B endorsements considered assets; • 4000 hours PIC; • 2500 hours Mountain experience; • TC Instructor Rating considered an asset; • Skilled at Long Line/Vertical Reference minimum 300 hours; • Good organizational and interpersonal skills; • Basic computer skills considered an asset; • Ability to work within a group environment; • Proficiency in English is essential , multilingual , French Spanish, German considered an asset ; • Preference will be given to candidates who reside in Penticton, BC.
