Job Desc:

Hillsboro Aviation, Inc. is hiring a B206 pilot starting March 2012 for a helicopter tour operation in the Caribbean. The operation will primarily focus on tours; utility and other charter flights will also be an integral part of the work. This is a year-round operation.
The pilot will be based out of an apartment complex near the operation site on a 4-6 weeks on / 4-6 weeks off schedule.
Applicant is responsible for all helicopter related aspects of the helicopter operation; he/she will work very closely with the cruise ship representatives and other local contractors to coordinate flight schedules as missions will vary between tour and utility / charter work. The pilot will be supervising up to four staff members required for the operation and determine their schedules based on the workload.
The perfect candidate must be a motivated and professional individual with excellent customer service skills; he/she will be able to work independently under little supervision; he/she is organized, has strong work ethics and a desire to strive for organizational / operational improvements utilizing our established Safety Management System.
Long-line (Vertical Reference) experience is desirable, but Hillsboro Aviation will provide training for the right candidate with no previous long-line experience.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

FAA issued Commercial certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating and English Proficiency Endorsement;
Rotorcraft Helicopter Instrument Rating
Minimum 1,500 hours PIC helicopters
Minimum 500 hours PIC turbine helicopters
Must keep complete and accurate records
Must be fluent in English
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be capable to climb the aircraft
to perform pre-flight and other pilot related duties

Preferred:

Good computer skills.
Additional Language skills (preferably French / Spanish)
External Load experience
Previous tour experience with an TOPS Operator
