Responsibilities

• Responsible to the Chief Pilot for the performance of his duties as pilot;
• Responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft he commands and for the safety of all persons on board during flight time. For this purpose he will have final authority for the disposition of the aircraft during the time in which he is in command;
• Responsible for the completion a Flight Plan or Flight Itinerary. He shall establish and maintain communications with the responsible authority whenever opportunities arise;
• Delegation of duties to other crew members, shall in no way effect his ultimate responsibility for the safe conduct of the flight;
• When applicable and subject to (4), he shall provide opportunities for the Second in Command to increase his skill and knowledge in standard operating procedures; and
• Responsible for the observance of all published Canadian Air Regulations and Standards as well as to conform to the Company directives and procedures contained in this manual, during flight planning, pre-flight inspection and checks, in flight operations and in post-flight reporting.

Qualifications

• Current Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot License required;
• Minimum 1,000 hours rotary-wing;
• Bell 212, Bell 206 and/or AS350 endorsements;
• Mountain, night, longline & seismic experience considered assets;
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude required;
• Ability to work within a group environment.
The remuneration for this position is estimated to be $61,500 - $71,750 per year, and is calculated as follows:
•Daily Rate: $ 282/Day (plus Stat and Vacation = $306/Day)
•Flight Pay $46/flight hour
•Longline Pay $30/flight hour
•$25 for tent pay for each night spent at a tent camp
•Minimums paid as per the current customer contract you will be working under
Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (A.D.&D.) : $20,000.00 Maximum.
