Hillsboro Aviation is seeking certified instrument flight instructors to fill immediate openings in the helicopter flight school. Responsibilities include providing flight and ground instruction to students seeking certificates and ratings including private, commercial, and instrument. CFIs ensure all flight training is conducted safely while following FAA regulations, approved training courses, and company policies. Among other tasks, CFIs are required to properly log all training in student training records and enter billing information into the company accounting system. These duties, in addition to others assigned by management, may occur at both Hillsboro Aviation locations (Hillsboro, OR and Troutdale, OR).
|Requirements:||Must be able to plan and organize ground and flight lessons. Strong communication and teaching skills needed. This position requires the person to work independently with the ability to make sound decisions and critique. Attention to detail and good piloting skills are a must.|
• Must hold a valid FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Rotorcraft Helicopter rating
• Must hold a valid FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate
• Must have SFAR 73 CFI Endorsement
• Must have attended the Robinson Safety Course
• Must be able to climb in and out of aircraft and conduct proper pre-flight inspections of aircraft.
• Must be willing to be available a variety of hours to accommodate needs for day and night flights.
• Weekday and weekend work will be required.
• Position may report to Hillsboro or Troutdale
