Ornge Air currently has the following position available: Position Available: Manager of Flight Operations Status: Non-Union Permanent full time Location: 5310 Explorer Drive, Mississauga, ON Reports to: Director of Flight Operations, Rotor Wing & Fixed Wing POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Ornge Air Operations Team, the Manager of Flight Operations will be responsible to the Director, Flight Operations for Fixed Wing and Rotor Wing in providing operations data, flight planning system & aircraft performance in support of flight operations and flight crew. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage the Service Level Agreement between Ornge and the Flight Following service provider. • Maintain and administer the Flight Operations modules within Aviation’s software applications. • Track, monitor and report on on-time performance as well as reviewing and monitoring declined, discontinued and delayed calls. • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies which may affect services as required for safe and efficient flight operations. • Collaboration with all functional areas in establishing continuous quality initiatives and improvement strategies that promotes key performance indicators and their measurement. • Manage processes related to pilot and aerodrome records, manuals and compliance. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Post Secondary Degree/ Diploma in related field; • Minimum 2 years experience in aviation operations, or an aviation related field, or equivalent, ideally within Flight Operations; • Management experience; • Experience in a regulated industry – Transport Canada; CARS & CASS, or equivalent; • Excellent written and verbal communication; • Self motivated, able to manage deadlines effectively; • Strong organizational skills and project management skills; • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Databases • Considers high-quality work the norm. • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team of professionals.|
