JOB DESCRIPTION

· Provide flight and ground instruction in accordance with Lake Superior Helicopters 141 and 61 program.

· Provide quality instruction and support for students

· Be a positive leader and role model for students

· Maintain student files and progress through syllabus

· Maintain currency

· Play an active roll in Lake Superior Helicopters Safety Management System

· Ensure compliance with Lake Superior Helicopters Standard Operational Guidelines

· Attend and participate in weekly CFI meetings.

· Assist in recruiting new students

· Assist in administrative work as needed

· Other tasks as assigned

o Other tasks may include but are not limited to: cleaning helicopters, organizing hangars, packing trailers, emptying trash cans, working as ground crew etc...

Position will have on average 400+ flight hours per year and 1,000+ hours of ground instruction per year.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
This position will require you to be trained in at our primary facility in Duluth, MN for 30-60 days during which time we will cover your room fee's.  Once complete you would be working full time out of the South Saint Paul/Fleming Field airport in the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN area.
  • Hold and maintain a Certified Flight Instructor and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument in rotorcraft category and helicopter class.
  • Hold and maintain at least a 2nd Class medical
  • Self-motivated/Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to help out wherever needed
  • 200 hours PIC rotorcraft (50 hours in a Robinson required)
  • SFAR instructor endorsement for R22 and R44 (or ability to ascertain)
  • Positive character and good communication skills
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism both in and out of the workplace
