Job Responsibilities
The Chief Pilot will report directly to the Director of Operations. It will be the Chief Pilot's responsibility to supervise all flight crew members. Specific duties are as follows:
• Qualify as Chief Pilot under 14 CFR Part 119, Management Personnel
• Provide leadership and liaise with the FAA, and within the company
• Show exceptional initiative and provide creative solutions in order to conduct safer and more effective flight operations
• Keep accurate and up to date pilot record files to include copies of medical certificates, pilot certificates, and keep all records secured
• Ensure that each pilot has received his/her initial or recurrent training
• Supervise all crewmember training programs
• Assist the Director of Operations in creating and enforcing operations policies
• Monthly scheduling and daily assignment of crews
• Assist Director of Operations in all phases of operations as directed by the DO
• Maintain current aircraft checklists and aircraft status sheet
• Delegate functions to other personnel, but retains responsibility
• Maintain, implement, or ensures the highest hiring standards are being employed
• Monitor and coach pilot performance, sharing of knowledge, and evaluation for potential advancement.
• Develop and monitor all relative operation guidelines including pilot conduct and professional appearance.
• Instruct and monitor pilots in the use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Must be highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals and other instructions pertinent to the duties and the operations of the company
• Maintain a company library to include:
o Operations Manual
o Airman's Information Manual
o All CFRs pertaining to the operation
o Training Manual
o Pilot's Reading File
• Maintain up to date Flight Manuals in each aircraft
• Work with the Director of Safety, Director of Operations, and Management team to implement and maintain the Safety Management System
• Maintain knowledge of the latest developments with the helicopter and business aviation community and regulations affecting operations
• Delegate responsibilities for dispatching of operational control to specific trained personnel
• Provide leadership in implementing AAG’s industry leading safety programs, including IS-BAO, ACSF, Wyvern, and ARG/US


• Provide initiative for continuous process improvement programs
• Monitors compliance with applicable safety standards (DOT, FAA, OSHA, EPA).
Education
• BA/BS degree w/6–10+ years experience
• MA/MS degree w/4–7+ years experience
Experience/Qualifications
• FAA Airline Transport Certificate – Rotorcraft
• Qualification minimums:- 3000 hrs helicopter PIC (5,000 TT preferred), FAA ATP-H, FAA First Class Medical, Three years prior Part 135 experience meeting 14 CFR Part 119 and Part 135, No accidents/incidents/violations in prior 60 months
• Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:500 hrs or more twin engine helicopter PIC- ATP-H, 100 hrs or more actual IFR PIC-36 months or more Part 135 experience in turbine helicopters, Recent operational flight experience, Prior S-76 experience and simulator training, Experience flying in New York City area- HUET (Helicopter Underwater Egress Training)
• Captain qualified in the S-76.

Basic Qualifications
Education
• BA/BS degree w/6–10+ years experience
• MA/MS degree w/4–7+ years experience
Experience/Qualifications
