Multi-Engine HEMS Pilot – Michigan

Job Description:
This position serves as Pilot on an air ambulance aircraft. Responsibilities include the safety of passengers, patients and crew/medical crews. Ensures all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations. Determines flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements. Makes decisions regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations. May be expected to perform other general department duties when not flying.
This position is located in Waterford, Michigan.  The individuals selected for these positions must stay at the site where the aircraft is located and available for a flight within 10 minutes.
The normal schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off.  Days on are spent at the hangar in a ready standby position 12 hours on and 12 hours off with rotating day and night shifts.
As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, crew members can expect to fly about 100 hours per year with limited international travel.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications

  • Rotor-Wing Commercial/Instrument Certificate required
  • Minimum of 3,000 hours of Total Flight Time
  • 500 hours night time
  • 300 hours IFR time (actual or simulated)
  • 2000 hours as pilot in command
  • 750 hours multi-engine
  • 100 hours of time-in-type preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Rotor Wing experience required
  • Ability to manage a changing work schedule
